Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Today, on 9 September, the 8th meeting of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network meeting began in Tashkent.
The event will be the first in a series of events of Global Textile Days — Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019, organized by Uztekstilprom Association and international partners.
The organizer of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network meeting is the International Cotton Advisory Committee, Uztekstilprom Association, Congress of Central Asia, with the participation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The three-day seminar is attended by scientists and experts from the United States, India, Pakistan, China and several other countries.
The main theme of the 8th ACRDN meeting was “Global best practices for adding value to production, processing and by-products.”
The meeting focused on cotton technology for Asian countries to increase yields at the lowest and most sustainable cost.
The ICAC International Cotton Advisory Committee formed the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network ACRDN in 1999. Since then, seven network meetings have been held in Pakistan (1999), Uzbekistan (2002), India (2005), China (2008), Pakistan (2011), Bangladesh (2014) and India (2017).
It is worth adding that the events of “Global Textile Days in Tashkent” are aimed at demonstrating achievements in the textile industry of Uzbekistan, developing business cooperation with world manufacturers and research centers, introducing and introducing innovative approaches to the development of the industry in the country.
The week will be devoted to the textile industry of Uzbekistan and the world. Within the framework of Global Textile Days Tashkent, experts and industry experts will demonstrate the achievements of the textile industry, conferences and round tables, exhibitions of textile products and mechanical engineering will be organized.
