Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An opening of the 23rd International Exhibition and Conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan — OGU 2019”, as well as the exhibition Power Uzbekistan 2019 took place in Tashkent on 15 May 2019.
Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov noted in his speech, these exhibitions are vital for the energy sector of Uzbekistan.
“At the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, large-scale reforms are being carried out in the country, the purpose of which is to modernize and restore power supply and gas supply facilities, build new power generation facilities and power lines, develop renewable energy sources, and attract investments, including through public-private partnership” — said Sultanov.
The head of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan added that the exhibition will traditionally hold a council of young scientists, during which young professionals will not only get new experience and increase knowledge about the country’s energy capabilities and new technologies in this area, but also share their ideas and best practices.
Speaking to the guests, the Director General of Rosatom State Corporation Alexei Likhachev outlined a range of topics to be discussed at the International Energy Conference.
“This is an extension of the involvement of Uzbek partners to localize the construction of nuclear power plants, the application of advanced technologies of Rosatom in the creation of nuclear units, including all the most advanced security systems, and, of course, the social and economic aspects of this project, as well as the mechanisms for introducing advanced Russian technologies in energy security, ”said Likhachev.
Key events of the fuel and energy sector of Uzbekistan will last until 17 May.
On 16 May, the work of the first in Uzbekistan International Energy Conference, Power Uzbekistan 2019, will begin.
It should be noted that over 300 companies from 31 countries take part in exhibitions and conferences. Among them are Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Hungary, Great Britain, Vietnam, Germany, Denmark, India, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Republic of Korea, Lithuania, Monaco, Norway, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Russia , Singapore, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Japan.
The exhibition OGU 2019 presents the latest technological, engineering and software development for oil and gas companies from leading mining, oil and gas and oilfield services companies. Among the participants should be noted the major players of the domestic and international oil and gas community: Lukoil, Gazprom, DOW, KNOC, Hyundai Engineering, Eriell, Enter Engineering, Turboden, SOCAR, Air Products, Endress + Hauser, JUMO, KROHNE and others.
With national stands are: Italy, China, Russia. Bavaria (Germany), Republic of Tatarstan (Russia) will take part with collective stands. For the first time, Canadian companies will be represented — the Canadian Business Association in Russia and Eurasia (CERBA).
During the first two days of the work of OGU-2019, “Sessions of young scientists” will be held, which will culminate in the interactive section “Day of Young Specialists”. An interactive session of students of specialized universities will be held on 17 May, where young specialists from the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, the RSU Branch of Oil and Gas. Gubkina in Tashkent, National University of Uzbekistan. M. Ulugbek and others will present to the jury the presentation of innovative solutions for the oil and gas industry. According to the results of the competition, the winners will be awarded prizes and diplomas.
The Power Uzbekistan 2019 exhibition will bring together representatives of almost all the main areas of the energy complex in the following sections: energy, energy saving, nuclear energy, electrical equipment, renewable and alternative energy sources, power electronics, heat and power equipment.
Power Uzbekistan will present the world players in the fuel and energy complex: Rosatom (Russia) is a Russian state holding company that unites more than 360 nuclear enterprises, General Electric (USA). Among the regular participants are: CALIK ENERJI, Aksa Jenerator San. A.S (Turkey), Power Machines (Russia), PJSC, ZAPOROZHTRANSFORMATOR (Ukraine), CENK (Turkey), LAMPAR Srl (Italy), Soyuzelectroavtomatika (Russia), Spetskkabeleksport (Russia) Minsk Electrical Engineering Plant (Belarus) and many others. Exporters of the Republic of Chuvashia (Russia) will take part with a collective stand.
Domestic companies will also take an active part.
