Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An Uzbek-Finnish business forum was held on 11 April 2019, which was attended by the official delegation of Finland, the leadership of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, representatives of relevant ministries and departments from the Uzbek side, and 47 leading Finnish and domestic companies.
The event was organized in the light of the tendency towards the dynamic development of relations between the two countries, bearing in mind the emergence of new investment and trade and economic ties between the business community.
High potential for mutually beneficial cooperation was noted, especially in tourism, geology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, construction materials production, agriculture and information technologies.
The establishment of relations is especially important in the light of the ongoing reforms and transformations in the country, thanks to which foreign capital has the full support and protection of the state.
As a result of the forum, a number of agreements on the establishment of joint ventures in the field of high-tech manufacturing, construction and medicine were signed.
Immediately after the forum, the opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Finland was held, which once again demonstrates the serious prospects of bilateral cooperation in the diplomatic and economic spheres.
